Q2DM1 - "The Edge" - for Quake 2 by id Software - one of the most popular maps ever made (maybe only de_dust is more known). Some peoples call Q2DM1 "best map" made by id Software or at all.
This package contains "remakes" (maybe, right spelling "conversion", "porting") of this map for Half-Life Deathmatch, which were built above decompiled q2dm1 for Q2 (decompiled map previously was fixed in Notepad2 to get correct loading in Hammer Editor). In the web exist such remake of the map, but it uses converted Q2 textures, hasn't correct sound and sky, and has different spawns of ammo and weapons.
This archive four remakes contains:
-q2dm1 - "classic", original textures, sound and sky. Weapon and ammo spawns closely like original. Also, you can change wad to make map more similar to Q2 (look "bonus" folder).
-dm theedge - retextured with Half-Life textures, ammo&weapon spawns some different.
-hldm shovq2dm1 - "remake of remake" - conversion of shovq2dm1 (Q2DM1: Revisited!) by Sean "ShoveL" Edwards (custom map from Quake 3 Arena); weapon&ammo spawns different, quake3 textures.
-wintersedge - "remake of remake of remake" - conversion of Quake Live`s 'Wnter's Edge' Xmas map by id Software.

Recommended number of players: 4-6.
Compile Time: <5 minutes (for q2dm1 and dm theedge) & >1,5 hours (for hldm snovq2dm1 and wintersedge)
Max r speeds: < 800 (q2dm1, dm theedge), ~2400-2800 (hldm shovq2dm1, wintersedge)
Average r speeds: 300-600 (q2dm1, dm theedge), 1000-2000 (hldm shovq2dm1, wintersedge)
